No one breaks, and the wolves come to a graceful halt in front of them. Anita yells, “Turn around!” to her Sin-Eater gringos as the Troy cell pivots. David, Peter, and Isobel comply, and then comes the flesh-ripping, bone snapping sounds as the pack shifts into another form. A barely human voice snarls, “It’s safe now,” and the hunters turn. They see the five werewolves in dire-human form, and Cain has the left side of her face ripped open while Valerie is clearly favoring her right side, her shirt dark with blood.
